First wash should be dry clean wash for all hand-block printed garments

Cotton Clothes-

• Recommended first wash as Dry clean wash

• Hand wash lightly with mild detergent

• Dry inside out in shade

• Dry clean is ideal but hand wash also works

• Few clothes slight shrinkage may be observed

• Care to be taken while applying perfume

Silk And Silk Blends-

• Silk and silk blend fabrics must be dry cleaned only

• Store in cloth covers with a few scented sachets

2. Hand Wash /Machine Wash

Soaking-

• Add small quantity of mild detergent in a half-filled bucket of cold water.

• Soak the garment in the soapy solution for five minutes.

• Pre-soaked garments must be washed immediately.

Rinsing-

• The soiled areas rubbed gently by hand

• Avoid a solid bar of soap or a brush.

• Rinse the garment a few times in cold water

Starching-

• Dip in a diluted solution of liquid starch to get a crisp finish to the garment

• Avoid wringing too much.

Drying-

• Avoid direct sun causes color-fading.

• Hang them out to dry in shade

• Garments should be hung straight

• Dry only on rust- proof hangers

Ironing-

• Do not iron directly on block-prints, embroidery

• Clothes should be turned inside out and ironed lightly.

Storage-

• Light colored garments away from the darker ones.
